A motorcyclist suspected of shooting a sheriff's deputy in Rancho Cucamonga was arrested after a freeway pursuit.

The suspect was apprehended following a collision with another vehicle on the eastbound 210 Freeway near Ontario.

The extent of injuries to both the deputy and the suspect is currently unknown.

A pursuit was initiated just before 1:30 p.m. in Rancho Cucamonga.

The suspect was allegedly wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at the Victoria Gardens shopping mall.
