(WXIN/WTTV) — A three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion is coming to Indiana.
Multiple reports from Monday afternoon confirm that guard Mac McClung has signed a multi-year contract. ESPN's Shams Charania was the first to report the news.
In order to sign McClung, the Pacers have waived former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman to create roster space. This comes after Indiana suffered many injuries at the guard position to start the season.
The NBA's first three-peat slam dunk contest champion, the 26-year-old McClung will reportedly sign a non-guaranteed multi-year deal with the Pacers. The guard, who last spent time with the Orlando Magic, has officially played six NBA games and was the 2023-24 G-League MVP.
Known for his high-flying aerial finishes, McClung has never signed a standar
