Mercer High School recently partnered with the Mercer County food bank to help coordinate a school pantry available for students amid tough financial times and upcoming holiday breaks.

"So I am preparing here to be able to pack bags for the holiday break, for Thanksgiving, for Christmas. That's going to be able to hopefully give the teenagers enough food to last that time through the break, so I've been ordering early and stocking up to help, to be prepared through that, said Katie Allen from the pantry.

Local Mercer businesses Abound Health, Common Grounds and Bethany Church will be taking food donations for the students.
