The Rough Riders’ vaunted run game is making plenty of noise, as of late.

And the month of November — when the bulk of the postseason takes place — is rapidly approaching, and that’s when Roosevelt is often its most boisterous.

Yet, at 7 p.m. Thursday in Johnstown, the Rough Riders will be greeted by a foe that is very capable of silencing the most unruly of adversaries.

Roosevelt (5-3 overall, 2-1 3A North 1 League) — which sits fifth in CHSAA’s Class 3A Selection and Seeding Index — will play host to ninth-ranked defending state champion Thompson Valley (7-1, 3-0) in what should be a pivotal late-October clash.
