HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Election day is coming up and Blaine County School District has put a Supplemental Levy on the ballot.

The current Supplemental Levy is set to expire at the end of the school year, according to Blaine County School District Superintendent Jim Foudy. This new levy would continue to fund and pay for services across the district.

“This is special education, pre-school, full-day kindergarten, SRO’s, cybersecurity,” Foudy said.

$296,640 would go to hiring a new School Resource Officer for the District. Currently, the district has two officers they have contracted with the city of Hailey. They can only cover the schools within the Hailey city limits. If the Supplemental Levy passes, they would be able to contract the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office and have a deputy
