FOR THE WORLD
For the third time in Major League Baseball history, it’s accurate to refer to the competition between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays as the World Series. Prior to these exceptions, only teams from one country, the U.S.A., were involved. When a competition involves only teams from one country, it seems to me a bit over the top to refer to it as a world competition.
