Mission Viejo’s top-ranked football team has added transfer linemen from Kapa’a of Hawaii and Bishop Montgomery, respectively, Diablos coach Chad Johnson confirmed on Monday.
The Diablos (8-1, 2-0), ranked No. 1 in Orange County and atop the Alpha League standings, have been joined by junior Amaziah Siale (6-7, 330) from Kapa’a and freshman Hansen Makaafi (6-0, 250) from Bishop Montgomery, Johnson said.
Both played in Mission Viejo’s 37-20 victory against Edison on Oct. 24, Johnson said.
On the CIF-SS website for transfers, Makaafi is ruled “eligible in all sports all levels.”
