WASHINGTON, DC – A robbery in broad daylight shook a quiet stretch of Northwest Washington on Saturday, as police search for a suspect who fled the scene carrying a distinctively colored bag.

At approximately 1:33 p.m. on October 25, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District responded to the 5500 block of Connecticut Avenue NW for a reported robbery.

The suspect was described as a Black male wearing a green hoodie, dark pants, and carrying a blue bag with a pink strap. Officials have not confirmed whether a weapon was involved or if anyone was injured during the incident.

As of Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been made, and detectives are actively working the case.
