COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina State Fair offered more than food, games and rides this year. Just off the Midway, visitors found a unique look at the American Revolution through the SC 250 exhibit.

The SC 250 committee transformed an expo hall at the fair into a living museum, offering a Revolutionary tour that allowed fairgoers to dress in Revolutionary War era clothing and step back in time.

“You know, everybody there’s something to learn- there’s knowledge to be gained by coming through an exhibition like this,” said Brett Bennett, president of SC 250.

The exhibit highlighted lesser-discussed topics of the Revolution, taking fairgoers into battles that occurred over two centuries ago in South Carolina.
