LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) -- Longview ISD, Kilgore College and UT Tyler came together on Monday to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) giving Longview students college opportunities before they graduate.

Leaders from the schools came together to formally sign the MOU, launching a multi-year partnership made to help high school students earn college credits, complete associates degrees and transition to bachelor's programs - all before graduating from high school.

Longview High School will be launching an Early College program that places junior students on the Kilgore College Campus. Next fall, 75 juniors are set to begin taking classes at Kilgore under the program, earning up to 60 hours towards an associate degree.
