GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore — If this weekend’s storm is any indication, you might want to get a season pass to hit the slopes. The Oregon and Washington Cascades are now covered in feet of fresh snow from the last couple of days.
For drivers traveling through the mountains passes now, they’re going to look a lot different from what it did just a week ago, after seeing the biggest storm since last spring.
“This is a good dump I feel at the end of October we get one I've been coming up here for 10 years, and this is one of the deeper ones, there's a lot of snow up here,” said Jeff Pentecost, who came up to Timberline Lodge to do some backcountry skiing.
The nearly two feet of snow that fell since late Saturday night brought backcountry skiers and snowboarders back to their favorite peak.
