A woman was fatally shot Monday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, police said.
The woman, 26, was in a car in the 7600 block of South Vincennes Avenue when someone in another vehicle fired shots just before 5 p.m., according to Chicago police.
The woman was struck in the abdomen and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center. She was initially listed in critical condition and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
