Australian stars Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels went head-to-head in Chicago, and it was clear who got the early bragging rights on Tuesday morning (AEDT).

The close mates matched up against each other on a number of instances, but it was Bulls standout Giddey who did the business in the first half.

Giddey, who recently signed a $100 million ($154 million AUD) extension, committed two turnovers in the opening five minutes as Daniels swooped for two steals in the first period to continue his decorated defensive streak.

But Giddey then blocked a Daniels, who himself inked a $100 million ($154 million AUD) new deal, layup attempt in a sequence that led to a Bulls basket, with the pair going at each other on numerous occasions.
