A Sparks middle school principal sent out a second message Monday after telling families on Sunday only certain students could enter the school early, including on mornings when the temperature is below freezing.
Sky Ranch Middle School Principal Jill Bayliss apologized for confusion after she sent out a reminder that only honor roll students, students receiving free breakfast or buying a breakfast, or students who purchased a "cold pass" would be allowed inside before the first bell at 7:30 a.m.
All students are allowed into school buildings to wait for the first class if the temperature is 20 degrees or below or it's raining, Bayliss said.
