SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Riverline District Steering Committee is pausing its work on planning a new convention center in downtown Sioux Falls, wanting more community feedback on the project.
The committee helped approve the purchase of the land on the east bank of the Big Sioux River, and they’ve now read through two studies to determine the feasibility of a new convention center on the site.

But now things are coming to a pause. The committee said three of its objectives: creating a timeline, designing and pricing a new convention center, and timing out a public vote, are yet to be done. But they voted Monday evening to pause their work, claiming that no more progress can be made
