MADISON, Wis. -- Yes, it was an exhibition game. Yes, the opponent was a Div. III program that finished 14-12 last season. But Robin Pingeton couldn't have dreamed up a better start to life in Madison if she tried.

The Wisconsin women's basketball team beat UW-River Falls 104-40 Monday night, in a game where they looked a lot closer to Pingeton's Missouri teams that featured WNBA star Sophie Cunningham than what was seen at the end of her time at Mizzou.

In case the score didn't give it away, the Badgers' defense was absolutely suffocating. The Falcons were limited to 10 points or less in 3 quarters, managing just 2 field goals in the final frame.

UW-River Falls shot 24% from the field and went 7-26 from beyond the arc. The one area where they out-shot the Badgers was at the free-throw
