CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - One person is dead after a shooting near the Archdale light rail station in south Charlotte on Monday night, according to Medic.

Just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, Medic said they responded to South Boulevard near Archdale Drive for a shooting.

When Medic arrived they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound and they were transferred to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said on Monday they were investigating a homicide that occurred off South Blvd.

At the time of this writing it was unclear if any arrest were made or how the shooting may have occurred.
