BOISE, Idaho – Early this morning, Boise residents were greeted by an unexpected sight as dozens of cows, potentially 100, roamed the city streets.

The bovine adventure began just after 1:00 a.m., when the cows were first seen at the intersection of Bogus Basin and Cartwright Road. They continued their journey towards downtown Boise.

Cows were spotted at various locations, including 18th and Sherman, 18th and Eastman, 15th and Harrison and Dewey.

Boise officers and dispatch worked promptly to locate the cows’ owner and safely corral the animals. Many of the cows eventually found their way to an alley between 18th and 19th near Hill Road.

The owner came to the rescue with a trailer, successfully transporting the cows back home by around 5:00 a.m.
