EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The holiday season is almost upon us, and one Capital Region family was chosen for the honor of donating this year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. The owners are sworn to secrecy for now so they could not talk with the media, just yet. But NEWS10’s Reporter James De La Fuente found the tree that has everyone talking about the time-honored tradition.
The 2025 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree was donated by the Russ family, from right here in East Greenbush.
“I thought that they were always fake,” said Joe Sacks who lives in the neighborhood where the tree is from.
“So, it'll be nice that they're real,” said Joe’s mom, Gabriella.
“Yeah, now I know they’re real,” said Joe.
