TRAVERSE CITY — Drivers in the Cherry Capital are getting a much-needed break after months of construction.

According to their Facebook page Monday evening, the work done by Team Elmer’s on a 2.2 mile stretch of M-72/M-22 (Grandview Parkway) from Division Street to Cherry Bend Road in Traverse City, including the roundabout, is now complete and open.

The company says the new roadway includes upgraded pavement, improved storm sewers, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle crossings and better transit access. Elmer’s says the road is now safer, smoother and more connected.
