MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - There’s a plan to bring new housing straight to the heart of Meridian Township.
The proposed development would be on vacant property on Central Park Drive near the Meridian Mall.
It would be medium density and multifamily.
On Monday, more than a dozen residents in that area showed up for a township planning commission meeting to express their concerns about the proposal, including the effects of construction on the community and environment.
The planning commission ultimately decided to delay a decision on the development, to give the community time to learn more about the proposal.
