Amazon Layoffs : Amazon is planning to cut up to 30,000 corporate jobs starting Tuesday, according to sources familiar with the matter, as reported by Reuters. While this represents a small portion of its 1.55 million total employees, it amounts to nearly 10 per cent of its 350,000 corporate staff, marking the company’s largest job reduction since late 2022, when around 27,000 positions were eliminated, Reuters reported. Amazon has been gradually trimming roles over the past two years across divisions, including devices, communications, and podcasting. The upcoming cuts may affect areas such as People Experience and Technology (PXT), operations, devices and services, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), according to Reuters.
