SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A twist no one saw coming at Shepherdsville City Council Monday night has made one group happy and has gotten pushback from another group.
Mark 12 Ministries will now be allowed to start work on a project that has become controversial in recent months.
The Shepherdsville organization wants to rezone roughly six acres between Charles Hamilton Way and Old Preston Highway to build what they’re calling Grace Village.
The project would be transitional housing for those looking to get back on their feet.
The Bullitt County Planning Commission approved the rezoning, but two weeks ago , Shepherdsville City Council voted it down.
