The LSU Tigers are on the hunt for their next head football coach following the dismissal of Brian Kelly.
The school fired Kelly after the Tigers' 49-25 loss to the undefeated Texas A&M Aggies in Death Valley, marking the program's third loss in the last four games.
Kelly, former head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, signed a 10-year, $100-million contract with LSU before the 2022 season. With his dismissal, the school owes him more than $50 million for a contract buyout.
Several names have been floated as possible replacements for Kelly in Baton Rouge.
Many of these options — like Lane Kiffin, Eli Drinkwitz and Lincoln Riley — are head coaches at the college football level. But one popular name currently makes his money as an NFL assistant.
