A West Australian man who exchanged drugs and money for sex with a teenage girl in the state's north has been sentenced to four years and six months' jail.

Fitzroy Crossing man Terence Cedric Forrest, 44, was sentenced in the Broome District Court on Monday after pleading guilty to nine charges, including two counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16.
He also admitted to three counts of indecently dealing with the same child and supplying her with cannabis.
Forrest was also facing one count of possessing and distributing child exploitation material.
The court heard the 44-year-old sent the 15-year-old a Facebook "friend request" in March 2023.
