Severe Cyclonic Storm Montha is set to make landfall in Andhra Pradesh. According to IMD, Montha will be visible on the coast near Kakinada on the night of October 28, 2025. People in Amravati and Selassamil should prepare for severe weather, as wind speeds may reach up to 110 kmph. The cyclone has already caused the cancellation of six flights between Chennai and Visakhapatnam. Heavy rainfall is expected in coastal areas from Nellore to Vijayanagaram. Officials have warned of a storm surge of over one meter, possible landslides, and flooding. NDRF and SDRF teams are on the ground for rescue and relief work. The cyclone may also affect Odisha, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu
