ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Sioux Center man is behind bars for allegedly setting a house on fire in northwest Iowa.
The Sioux County Sheriff's Office said Greg Aberson, 52, is being held in the county jail on a second-degree arson charge.
According to court documents, on October 25 at around 11 a.m., authorities received a report of a house fire in the 4900 block of Ironwood Avenue, around four miles south of Orange City.
Firefighters arrived at the home and saw a portion of the building in flames and with heavy smoke. Deputies showed up and saw fire crews working to put out the flames.
No one was home at the time of the fire and nobody was injured.
