The Indiana State Police carried out a high-visibility “Wolfpack Patrol” operation on Friday night, Oct. 24, targeting impaired and aggressive drivers as well as criminal activity across Mishawaka, South Bend, and northern St. Joseph County. The overnight patrol resulted in a total of 68 traffic citations, 132 warnings, and 27 criminal defendants, including eight felony arrests and four OWI charges. Troopers also made 19 drug-related arrests, leading to the seizure of marijuana, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances. In one case, troopers investigated a crash where a driver was found intoxicated with a child in the vehicle. That driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and Neglect of a Dependent.
