Valle scored twice in the second quarter and once more in the third, recording her third hat trick of the season. The senior has 14 goals and one assist.
Emily Vannozzi scored her fifth goal of the season for Somerville in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout.
Somerville goalie Charlotte McLoughlin made six saves, while her counterpart, Tatiana Rowlands, stopped two shots for South Plainfield.
South Plainfield is 11-8.
Somerville’s record is 5-12.
