President Donald Trump had some harsh words for his vice president on Jan. 6, 2021, according to a new book.

Former Vice President Mike Pence’s notes of his final call with Trump on Jan. 6, 2021 showed the president berating him just hours before the certification of the 2020 election, according to ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl’s newest book. The book, “ Retribution: Donald Trump and the Campaign That Changed America ,” was released on Tuesday.

The notes, which ABC reported on Sunday were previously unpublished, showed Trump calling Pence a “wimp” for his decision to certify Joe Biden’s 2020 election win. Trump was ultimately charged with four counts related to alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election, but the charges were dropped after he won the 2024 election.
