LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A lengthy chase with an attempted murder suspect ended with a short standoff in a residential neighborhood in the Ontario area on Monday night.

The chase started on surface streets in the San Fernando Valley when Los Angeles police officers spotted a vehicle wanted in connection to an attempted murder. Officers later began referring to the suspect as a murder suspect on police radio, though further details about what the suspect is wanted for were not immediately available.

The driver led officers through the San Fernando Valley and past Dodger Stadium during Game 3 of the World Series before the chase continued into the San Gabriel Valley.
