QUINCY -- Regulation time was not enough to decide the women's soccer regional quarterfinal between John Wood Community College and Parkland Community College.

Neither was the first overtime period with both teams remaining knotted up at 1-1.

The second overtime period would bring heartbreak to the Blazers with the Cobras scoring the game-winning goal to defeat John Wood 2-1 and end their season.

John Wood scored there lone goal 44:58 into the first half from Isabella Arrieta-Montero, which was unassisted.

As a team, the Blazers finished with eight shots on goal.

Blazers goalkeeper Kezia Bull made 10 saves and faced 12 shots on goal.

The two teams met twice during the regular season, with John Wood winning 4-1 on Sept. 25 and 4-3 on Oct. 18.
