LAFD Crews Battled Heavy Flames for More Than 90 Minutes at Two-Story Storage Complex
Firefighters extinguished a large blaze that tore through multiple units of a self-storage facility in the Sawtelle area early Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Crews responded to the 11400 block of West Exposition Boulevard shortly after 6:30 a.m., where heavy smoke was seen pouring from the roof vents of a two-story storage complex measuring roughly 30 feet by 300 feet, officials said.
The fire had spread through several units on both floors before firefighters were able to contain it. After about 90 minutes, 76 firefighters successfully located, isolated, and extinguished the flames, the department said in a statement.
