Kolkata: The pot is churning at the Tata Trusts, the bodies which control the eventual fate of the Tata Group, the most respected of Indian conglomerates. Reports state that chairman Noel Tata, vice chairman Venu Srinivasan and trustee Vijay Singh have decided not to give their nod for the continuation of Mehli Mistry, one of the trusted persons of Rata Tata, which amounts to terminating his presence in the Tata Trusts which control the eventual fate of the Tata Group.
Thus a majority have voted against Mistry’s continuation as a trustee at. Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT) and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) hold a controlling 51% in Tata Sons, while the wider group of trusts cumulatively own 66%.
