Police in Mwanza have arrested Felix Phiri and James Gama on suspicion of stealing from a guest house in the district.
Mwanza Police spokesperson Hope Kasakula told Zodiak Online today that the two men entered a room where Hunger Project staff were sleeping and began stealing various items.
Kasakula said that by chance, one of the organization’s staff members returned to the room to collect some forgotten items and allegedly caught one of the suspects attempting to flee with a computer.
The staff member then raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to respond and apprehend the two suspects before handing them over to the police.
According to police, Felix Phiri comes from Kazimuta Village, Traditional Authority Njolomole in Ntcheu District, while James Gama hails from Mbaisa Village
