Yenke Suarez scored two goals as second-seeded West Orange, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20, defeated third-seeded and No. 9 Montclair Kimberley, 3-1, in the semifinal of the 51st Essex County Tournament at Allen “Jake” Jacobson Field in Livingston.

Suarez, a junior, opened the scoring when he shot in a loose ball in front of the net in the 22nd minute. West Orange (18-1) doubled the lead in the 53rd minute when Suarez scored on a rebound.

Marcus Jackson made it 3-0 in the 57th minute when he scored on a header off a throw-in for West Orange. Carl Hall had two assists in the win and Agustin Arrieta made five saves.

West Orange, making its eighth finals appearance and first since 2021, will play top-seeded and No. 1 ranked St. Benedict’s on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Caldwell. The two met on Oct.
