Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has emotionally confessed that she's "in denial" about a significant shift in her family life with Vernon Kay in recent times.

The television presenter, 56, sent shockwaves through the entertainment world last week when she and Claudia Winkleman jointly revealed the duo will step down from Strictly following the conclusion of the current series.

The decision will enable her to dedicate more time to her family - spouse Vernon Kay and their daughters Phoebe, 21, and 16 year old Amber.
