AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Panhandle First Responders Memorial will be located in Downtown Amarillo, located at 11th and Polk, providing a space to honor every first responder who has died in the line of duty within the top 26 counties of the Panhandle since 1882. The memorial will include the names of more than 100 law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and emergency transport members. One of the fallen first responders that will be honored on the memorial is Sgt. Paul Buckles, who served with the Potter County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Buckles was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Then, he went on to serve with the Potter County Sheriff’s Office for 26 years, where he was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division.
