When Marc Taylor speaks to a room full of Oklahomans, he often jokes that he has met many of them, although they may not remember the encounter.

"I've probably sat on your lap, I probably have been to your kid's birthday party or your grandkid's birthday party and you might even have a picture of me on your mantel right now," Taylor tells the crowd.
