CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Residents at a downtown Charleston home disarmed and wounded a pair of suspects during a Sunday afternoon home invasion, according to police.

Officers with the Charleston Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that happened inside a South Enston Avenue home around noon.

Once at the scene, officers found one of the suspects inside the residence with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm. A second suspect was located at a home on Doscher Avenue with a stab wound to their neck.

Both suspects were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
