POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino continues her safety campaign for employees. Following the recent daytime murder on Garden Street, while many county employees were in the area, calls for increased safety measures were made by the employees, many of whom park in the area where the murder occurred.
Serino told Mid-Hudson News that several employees have expressed safety concerns at the city-owned Financial Parking Deck, where many county employees park. The concerns made reference to rampant narcotics use in the parking garage, a number of car break-ins, and panhandlers who follow people to their cars while asking for money.
