BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good morning!

All eyes are on the Caribbean Sea this morning as Hurricane Melissa continues to creep toward Jamaica as a powerful Category 5 storm.

HURRICANE MELISSA : As of the 4 a.m. Advisory, Melissa is now the eighth lowest pressure storm in Atlantic history at 901 millibars. That is one millibar higher than Camille (1969 900mb) and now stronger than Katrina (2005, 902mb) at its strongest point.

Melissa is expected to make landfall as a Category 5 hurricane at some point on Tuesday.
