MARTINDALE, Texas (KXAN) -- At precisely 6 p.m. on a Thursday, the mayor of Martindale stopped what she was doing and looked to the sky. A countdown, which had started moments earlier, signaled it was time to start.

"We've got to be planning right now before it happens again," she had told us weeks before this moment. "Because it will happen again."
