Bangladesh’s interim government head Md Yunus’s deliberate anti-India stance and provocative actions to protect his own position and that of his sponsored National Citizens Party (NCP) in the run-up to the elections in February next year have sparked a nationwide controversy. At at time of economic distress spawned by all-round lawlessness , massive fire accidents in Chittagong port and Dhaka airport, Yunus is allegedly trying to deflect criticism of his regime by resorting to anti-India posturing.
