ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police responded to a bomb threat near the Georgia State Capitol in downtown Atlanta early Tuesday morning.
Atlanta Police and Capitol Police were seen blocking off roads just after 3 a.m., as most of the activity was on the east side of the Capitol.
By 4:45 a.m., an Atlanta News First crew with the First Alert Breaking News Tracker saw police leave the scene.
Police were seen using loudspeakers to tell people to stay away from the scene during the investigation.
Authorities have yet to release information about who or what led to the bomb threat. Atlanta News First is awaiting a response from Atlanta Police and Capitol Police for information on the investigation.
