SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - An accident has caused a two-hour delay for two Springfield schools Tuesday morning.
Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh told 22News that a tractor-trailer struck a gas line around 615 a.m. at State and Catherine Street. Fire crews and Eversource are currently working at the accident.

Due to the accident, the start time for Rebecca Johnson and the Early Childhood Education Center schools is delayed two hours, according to Springfield Public Schools Spokesperson Azell Cavaan.
There is no word on any injuries or the cause of the accident at this time. 22News will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.
