Amazon is planning to cut roughly 14,000 corporate jobs as the organization continues its spending on artificial intelligence while cutting costs in other places.
The job cuts announced Tuesday are a roughly 4% reduction in Amazon’s corporate labor force.
Teams and workers impacted by the job cuts will be notified on Tuesday, and most employees will be given 90 days to search for a new position internally, the Associated Press reported, citing a letter to employees from Beth Galetti, Senior Vice President of People Experience and Technology at Amazon, wrote in a letter to employees on Tuesday.
But individuals who can't find a new position at the company or who opt not to look for one will be provided with transitional support including severance pay, outplacement services and health ins
