MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph R. Kinser has announced that on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the October 2025 Term of the Grand Jury was convened at the Berkeley County Judicial Center. Deliberations concluded on Thursday, Oct. 23, resulting in 92 indictments returned for cases presented by the Berkeley County Prosecutor’s Office.

Among the charges was a murder indictment against Steven Tracy Beach, 53, who was arrested and charged May 3 when police carried out a wellness check and found the body of Julius Alexander. Beach and Alexander, according to police reports, were the only two individuals in the residence.
