Voorhees boys soccer head coach Chase Barbieri brought a sports psychologist in on Monday Oct. 20 to talk to his team about dealing with adversity.

Less than a week later, second-seeded Voorhees found itself on the ropes, down a goal late in the second half of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex final against top-seeded Hunterdon Central, No. 18 in the NJ.com Top 20, at Warren Hills Regional High School.

The Vikings fought back, forcing overtime at 1-1. Braedon Mulroony scored the game-winning goal five minutes into the first overtime to lift Voorhees to a 2-1 victory - securing the first H/W/S title in program history.
