HINSDALE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - For the second time in less than a week , a pair of out-of-state visitors became stranded on a snowy mountain pass.

This time, the Hinsdale County Search and Rescue (HCSAR) team said it was a couple from Texas and their two dogs who tried to make it through multiple feet of snow in an SUV before getting stuck.

“Here we go again!” HCSAR wrote in a social media post. “On Monday, October 27, a couple from Texas, along with two dogs, became stranded west of the summit of Engineer Pass.”

Two from the search and rescue team drove up to the top of the pass before having to leave their own vehicle and hike the rest of the way due to deep, unsafe snowdrifts. They found the couple and their dogs uninjured and still in the SUV.
